CALIFORNIA ACADEMY OF MEDIATION PROFESSIONALS
VOLUNTEER MEDIATORS NEEDED
FOR CIVIL HARASSMENT MEDIATIONS
IN THE COURTHOUSES OF
COMPTON, LONG BEACH, NORWALK, AND TORRANCE
Established in 1996, California Academy of Mediation Professionals (CAMP) is a DRPA
(Dispute Resolution Provider Act, 1986) provider for the Los Angeles Superior Court.
Currently, CAMP is recruiting volunteer mediators to conduct civil harassment
mediations in the locations of Compton, Long Beach, Norwalk, and Torrance. The
mediations are conducted every morning starting at 8:30 AM. Applicants do not need
to provide mediation service for all days of the week, but need to be available to
mediate for at least 1-2 days per week. Applicants may mediate in multiple
courthouses, or may specialize in mediations at just one courthouse. Qualified
applicants must provide mediation training certificate(s) for 30+ hours of mediation
training. Training in civil harassment mediation techniques will be provided by CAMP.
Parking at the courthouses will be free or validated.

FOR UNLAWFUL DETAINER CASES
IN THE COURTHOUSES OF
COMPTON, LONG BEACH, NORWALK, AND TORRANCE
Established in 1996, California Academy of Mediation Professionals (CAMP) is a DRPA
(Dispute Relations Provider Act, 1986) provider for the Los Angeles Superior Court.
Currently, CAMP is recruiting volunteer mediators to conduct UNLAWFUL DETAINER
mediations at the Santa Monica, Pasadena, Long Beach, and Torrance Courthouses.
The mediations are conducted every morning starting at 8:30 AM. Applicants do not
need to provide mediation service for all days of the week, but need to be available to
mediate for at least 1-2 days per week. Applicants may mediate in multiple
courthouses, or may specialize in mediating at one courthouse. Qualified applicants
must provide mediation training certificate(s) for 30+ hours of mediation training.
Unlawful Detainer cases are a specialized category of mediation. Applicants will need
to have conducted prior mediations, especially landlord-tenant, or have experience in
unlawful detainer cases from the perspective of real estate or property management. A
Juris Doctor degree is preferred, but not required. Parking at the courthouses will be
free or validated.
