Please join us on Thursday, August 9th as we celebrate our members and present Forest “Woody” Mosten with the 2017 President’s Award! This is an opportunity to celebrate and network with fellow SCMA Members, Past Presidents and Board Members. We will also recognize the recent SCMA Mentorship Program graduates.
The 2017 SCMA President’s Award is being presented to Forrest Mosten in commendation of his work in providing divorce mediation training as well as commemorating the 10th year of the SCMA Education Foundation which was created in his honor by providing conflict resolution libraries to different dispute resolution centers, non-profits, and universities.
Food and beverages will be provided for this event.
Cost: SCMA MEMBERS ARE FREE! $40 for Guests/Non-Members
$7.00 validated valet hotel parking. This includes the first 4 hours with our validation. Park in the Bonaventure Hotel valet parking (entrance located on Flower St. between 4th and 5th) and take the escalator (guest elevators do not stop on the 4th floor) to the 4th floor and make a right.
Kids Managing Conflict, SCMA Education Foundation will be hosting a “Wine Pull” fundraiser to support peer mediators in Southern California Schools. If you have never participated in a “Wine Pull” this is how it works:
Purchase a ticket for $25 and “pull” a bottle from the table full of wine valued at $15 and up.
You may get a great wine valued at much more than the $25 or one that is less. Regardless, you will still get a bottle of wine and support a great cause. All proceeds go directly to school peer mediation programs in Southern California.
All community events are shown on the calendar in blue, while all events that are for SCMA members only are shown on the calendar in yellow. This lets people see at a glance what type of event they are able to attend.
Narrow Your Results
At the top of the page there is a section that says “Narrow Your Results”. This area has drop down menus with checkboxes next to each item. Go through each menu section and click any or all of the items that match what type of event you’re looking for. Then click the button that says “Submit” to view your filtered results on the calendar below.
Change Calendar View
On the top right side of the calendar there are two fields – one says ‘Events In” and has a field where you can select which month to view. Next to that is a field that says “View As”. The default setting is “month”, so you can view the events like a regular calendar. If you prefer, though, you can opt to view the events in a list instead. Or, click “map” to view a map that highlights where each event is located. Finally, you can view as “photo” to see all a list of the event titles and their associated images.
