Ombudsing Across Borders

March 29, 2016 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

ICANN-logoPlease Join Chris LaHatte, MBB’s Ombuds lead, to discuss Ombudsing Across Borders on…

Wednesday March 29 at 3 pm EST (12 noon PST; 5 pm GMT) & Wednesday March 30 at 8 am NZDT.

Chris will present information about his work as the ICANN ombudsman, where he works on a global basis with people from all cultures, backgrounds and countries. While ICANN has a common language in relation to Internet names and numbers, people have very different ideas in relation to policy about access to the Internet and about the way in which ICANN meets to develop policy using its bottom-up multi stakeholder approach. This presentation will discuss how ICANN addresses these issues, and how the Ombudsman model is used for dispute resolution and helping communication.

Please RSVP to Gillian Saxby, MBB  and she will provide you with the call login information.

Priority given to MBB members. Please join or renew! We request the courtesy of a notice should your schedule change and you are no longer able to attend the session.

All community events are shown on the calendar in blue, while all events that are for SCMA members only are shown on the calendar in yellow. This lets people see at a glance what type of event they are able to attend.

Narrow Your Results

At the top of the page there is a section that says “Narrow Your Results”.  This area has drop down menus with checkboxes next to each item. Go through each menu section and click any or all of the items that match what type of event you’re looking for. Then click the button that says “Submit” to view your filtered results on the calendar below.

Change Calendar View

On the top right side of the calendar there are two fields – one says ‘Events In” and has a field where you can select which month to view. Next to that is a field that says “View As”. The default setting is “month”, so you can view the events like a regular calendar. If you prefer, though, you can opt to view the events in a list instead. Or, click “map” to view a map that highlights where each event is located. Finally, you can view as “photo” to see all a list of the event titles and their associated images.
