The Southern California Mediation Association will present the 2020 Annual Family Mediation Institute (FMI) at The Westin South Coast Plaza on Saturday, February 29, 2020.
“Building Interdisciplinary Teams – A Blueprint for Success” is the theme of the 2020 FMI now in its 3rd year and the SCMA is proud to announce this year’s group of speakers.
As the leading innovator in the family mediation field, Forrest “Woody” Mosten is in constant demand worldwide as a speaker and leader in mediator training. He will share his insights on building interdisciplinary teams and how to effectively implement the team approach into your mediation cases and effective use of teams to help families that are facing conflict and reorganization.
Saturday’s Program will include presentations by our exciting team of interdisciplinary professionals who along with Woody Mosten will provide a blueprint for family mediation success, the Financial Consultant, the Parenting Professional, and the Divorce Coach.
Mark C. Hill, CFP®, CDFA®, is a Financial Divorce Consultant and will provide an overview of the resources that a financial neutral can bring to the mediator’s interdisciplinary team model. He is an award-wining international trainer in the Collaborative Divorce Model, responsible for training thousands of collaborative professionals in this interdisciplinary process.
Christina McGhee, MSW, author of Parenting Together: How Separated and Divorced Parents Can Raise Happy and Secure Kids. Christina will provide insight for parents, mediators and other supporting professionals on “A New Way Forward: How to Shift CoParents out of Change – Resistance and Toward Better Outcomes for Their Children and Themselves.”
