SCMA has created various Professional Development Groups to provide peer support, peer review and case analysis, to analyze and study ongoing developments in the laws surrounding mediation, as well as any other topics of interest to their members.
Professional Development Groups typically meet once a month in the evenings for approximately two hours, throughout Los Angeles, Orange, San Bernadino/Riverside, San Diego, and Ventura County and have between 10 to 20 members. Professional Development Groups are free of charge to SCMA members and are currently held in:
- Downtown Los Angeles
- Inland Empire (coming soon)
- Long Beach
- Orange County
- Pasadena/San Gabriel Valley
- San Diego
- San Fernando Valley
- South Bay
- Ventura County (coming soon)
- West Los Angeles, Santa Monica

Sample SCMA’s programs at no cost. Non-members may attend a total of two free SCMA programs (Professional Development Groups or Professional Development Seminars) to meet members and experience the high quality of our programs.
