Andy retired from his ‘day’ job in December of 2015 after 36 years in the Human Resources organization for the Boeing Company. During his tenure he managed all aspects of the Human Resources function at the plant site level. He held management positions at the El Segundo plant site for 15 years and for his last three years with the Company he was the site HR manager at the Boeing C-17 plant site in Long Beach, Ca.
Since entering the next phase of his life in January of 2016 Andy has done pro bono Small Claims court mediations on a regular basis at the Downey courts for the Center for Conflict Resolution (CCR) and in 2017 began to also handle pro bono mediations for the EEOC in Los Angeles. Just recently Andy began to add the handling of Unlawful Detainer case mediations at the Norwalk courts for the California Academy of Mediation Professionals (CAMP).
He is also an active participant in the South Bay Professional Development Group and serves as a board member on his local home owners association.
Andy received his BA in Economics from the University of Michigan in 1977, Masters in Labor & Industrial Relations from Michigan State University in 1979, Post Graduate certificate in Conflict Analysis and Resolution from CS Dominguez Hills in 2015, and completed the 100 hour Mediation and Conflict Resolution Certificate taught by Jack Goetz in December of 2015.
